Microsoft Detects Russian Online Campaigns Targeting US Presidential Election
Аhead of the impending US presidential election, tech giant Microsoft has uncovered Russian online campaigns aimed at influencing American voters
Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, is on a trip to the island of Bali to take part in an international conference on the fight against illegal drug trafficking and distribution.
Tsvetanov is accompanied by the Head of the Main Directorate for Combatting Organized Crime, GDBOP, Chief Commissar Stanimir Florov.
At the conference Tsvetanov received congratulations from Brian Nichols, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the US State Department.
"The State Department is giving very high marks to the Bulgarian Interior Ministry for the effort to combat organized crime and corruption, actions that must be applied systematically and continue in the future," Nichols, cited by the Ministry's press center, told Tsvetanov.
The conference is organized by the US Drug Enforcement Administration, DEA. The Director of DEA, Michelle Leonhart is also in Bali for the event.
Leonhart, who visited Bulgaria at the beginning of April to officially open the DEA office in Sofia, has also praised the Bulgarian authorities for the excellent "cooperation." She stressed the importance of international partnership in the fight against organized crime, generating over USD 2 B in one year just in the US.
