Bulgaria: Bulgarian Police Warn of Scattered Ammunition after Depot Blasts A photo by BGNES shows the explosion at a privately-owned ammunition depot near the Petolachkata road junction close to Sliven in Southeastern Bulgaria that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Bulgaria's Interior Ministry has warned that munitions and fragments of munitions have been scattered in the region surrounding the Petolachkata road junction in Southeastern Bulgaria.

Those who spot munitions or fragments of them are urged to call the 112 emergency phone number.

The information will be then transferred to the experts that are currently gathering loose munitions.

On Tuesday, a series of blasts occurred at a private-owned ammo site near the Petolachkata road junction close to Sliven, injuring at least 9 people, two of them critically.

Three of the ammunition depot's employees are still missing.

Yambol District Governor Dimitar Ivanov, who is heading the ad hoc crisis headquarters, has told Darik radio that there is no danger for the air and water in the region of the explosions.
