A pack of stray dogs has attacked a German citizen of Turkish origin in Sofia's Lyulin residential district.

At around 5 a.m. on Sunday, the man stopped to fill up his car at a filling station in the area and went of the vehicle to throw out the rubbish, when he was attacked and badly bitten by a pack of strays, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR).

The man has been taken to Sofia's Pirogov hospital with bite wounds on his legs.
