Bulgaria Launches Mass Traffic Police Operation to Enforce Safety Regulations

A 63-year-old UK citizen residing in Bulgaria has been arrested by the local police and charged with sexually abusing two kids, ages 10 and 11.
The man has been detained in his home in the central Bulgarian city of Veliko Tarnovo, with one of the children at his home.
According to police information, the family of the children knew about the Brit's doings, and condescended against financial support in return.
The alleged criminal paid bills, bought various things and gave money to the family, who are of Roma origin, and live in the nearby village of Pavlikeni.
The family also has a 6-year-old daughter, for whom the police have no information to have been subjected to sexual abuse.
According to Veliko Tarnovo police sources, the UK citizen has already been sentenced for a similar crime in his home country - he was sentenced to 5 year in jail for a sexual assault on a child, from which he served 3.
The Bulgarian police also said that they have already asked their British counterparts to assist them with all additional information on the case they might have in their possession.
