Bulgaria: US Envoy in Sofia Reiterates He's Not Recalled Yet James Warlick, US ambassador to Bulgaria. BGNES

US Ambassador to Bulgaria James Warlick has stated that no date has been set for an early end of his term.

Paraphrasing Mark Twain's famous quote, Warlick told the Btv private channel that the rumors of his early recall have been "greatly exaggerated."

The Ambassador pointed out that such rumors are not unusual and appear frequently in many countries.

Media reports emerged recently that the Bulgarian government has already received a request from the USA for the accreditation of a new American ambassador in Sofia.

Commenting on the Bulgarian-Russian Belene Nuclear Power Plant project that was abandoned by the Bulgarian government at the end of March, Warlick said that the majority of Bulgarians have figured out the project would have turned out quite costly.\

The US Ambassador in Sofia reminded that his Embassy recently launched a simplified visa application procedure for Bulgarians.
