Crime | April 7, 2012, Saturday // 15:40

Bulgarian police broke into two workshops for the construction of ATM skimming devices, arresting 5 persons involved in the illegal production.

One of the workshops was located in downtown Sofia. It contained various material needed for the production of the skimming units, as well as ready devices.

The other workshop was located in the apartment of one of the detained persons in the Belite Brezi neighborhood.

The five arrested people, in their 30s and 40s, were workers who assembled the devices, as well as organizers and coordinators of the production.

Police sources said they had reasons to believe that the group operated not only in Bulgaria, but also in other EU countries.
