Fani Belneyska, mother of of sisters Rositsa and Kristina Belneyski, the teens who were brutally murdered in 2006, is adamant she has not been manipulated in her demand to restart the Court case.

Speaking Thursday morning in an interview for TV7, she said that some police chief had told her that Lazar Kolev, the only defendant so-far, had two accomplices, remaining at large. She asked them to rely on their own conscience and turn themselves in, which would help them find piece.

Just a day earlier, the parents of the two murdered girls made headlines with their shocking demand that the Supreme Court of Cassations returns the case for further investigation.

Father Stoimen Belneyski explained that the family wants the murderer to reveal who his accomplice is.

Fani and Stoimen Belneyski also decided to sack their lawyer, Ivo Naydenov.

In the Thursday interview, the mother insisted that she knew what she was doing and no one had blackmailed or bribed her in her decision to want a re-trial.

"I only want the truth to be known and to prevail. Kolev is beyond any doubt one of the murders of my daughters," she said, all while firmly denying reports that she had talked to Lazar Kolev's mother or to any of his other relatives.

The father reiterated they hoped until the last moment that Kolev would confess and reveal the names of the said accomplices. He explained that lately Naydenov stopped informing them how the case was moving along.

The parents had made together the decision to sack the lawyer and ask for a re-trial after they realized that there would be no confessions on the part of the defendant.

Lazar Kolev, the only suspect in Bulgaria's high-profile "Belneyski" double murder case, was sentenced to a life imprisonment without parole in June 2011. The Appellate Court in Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv confirmed the life without parole sentence in November 2011.

Sisters Rositsa (18) and Kristina (15) Belneyski went missing in January 2006, after leaving a night club in the town of Pazardzhik. They were found dead at the beginning of February 2006 near the town of Peshtera.

Statements that Kolev may have had an accomplice have emerged on a number of occasions since 2006, some claiming that it may have been a man or men of high standings in society.
