Bulgarian Ag Minister Brags about Dealing with Egg Price Hike

Bulgaria's egg prices have decreased by approximately BGN 0.10, according to the country's Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov.
Egg prices recently skyrocketed in the Balkan country, exceeding BGN 0.40 (EUR 0.20) per egg att places.
"When I met with egg producers, they promised me to drop their prices a week before Easter and this is already a fact," Naydenov declared on Monday. He stated that eggs can now be found at prices below BGN 0.30.
This year's Orthodox Easter is on April 15.
Naydenov pointed out that the Ministry of Agriculture and Foods is not responsible for controlling prices, but added that people need help when cartel agreements emerge between producers.
The Bulgarian government recently threatened to cut agriculture grants for producers who deliberately increase prices ahead of Easter.
