Dimitar Sukalinski, 41, has been found dead inside his apartment in Bulgaria's southwestern city of Blagoevgrad, according to a report of local police.

Sukalinski AKA Banskaliyata (from Bansko) is the Head of the local "Pirin" football team fan club. Police say that he has been murdered around 9 pm Thursday evening, and died from stab wounds.

The authorities are probing the case, but the identity of the murderer and his motives remain unclear.

Banskaliyata was known for his hot temper. During the October local and presidential elections he had stirred a brawl at a Blagoevgrad voting poll. In March 2011, he had threatened a local businessman with a bomb attack.
