Bulgaria Wins Silver, 2 Bronze Medals at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup

Bulgaria's best rhythmic gymnast Sylvia Miteva won the silver medal in the ribbon singles contest at the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Sunday in Kiev, Ukraine.

Earlier during the day Bulgaria's group won the bronze medal in the five balls discipline at the World Cup in Kiev.

Saturday the Bulgarian group had won another bronze medal, at the twelve events contests.

Sunday Miteva made an excellent showing, garnering 28.000 points for her performance, which landed her second in the contest.

Bulgaria's gymnasts were also great and received 27.550 points in the 5 balls run. They also landed a fourth places in the three ribbons and two hoops contests, with 27.450 points.

Sunday the winner of both the five balls and the 3+2 events at the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup was the group of Belarus.

"I am very proud of our girls. We are on the right track on our road to the London Olympics," commented head coach Iliyana Raeva.
