NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is to visit Turkey on February 16-17 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Turkey's membership of NATO.
Rasmussen's visit to Turkey was announced by Turkey's Foreign Ministry in a written statement Thursday.
NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmssen will hold talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Turkish President Abdullah Gul, the statement said.
Both Turkey and Greece joined NATO on February 18, 1952, at the first peak of the Cold War, in what was the first enlargement of the US-led alliance.
