Health-Conscious Wine Lovers Drive Growth in Low-Calorie Options
Winemakers are increasingly focusing on producing wines with lower alcohol content and fewer calories to meet the demands of health-conscious consumers
In February, known in Bulgaria as "vine and wine" month, the Sofia airport launched a renovated wine tasting saloon.
The saloon will offer monthly degustation of prestigious Bulgarian wines.
"This is an opportunity to present Bulgaria as a country with traditions and great achievements in winemaking. We have many things to be proud of, but we rarely manage to show them," said Prof. Plamen Mollov, Chair of National Vine and Wine Chamber, at the official opening of the saloon.
The saloon is located at terminal 2 of Sofia international airport, at level 0, and is available for those with boarding passes. It has about 50 seats and can be visited by all passengers regarding of the class they travel. The fee is EUR 14.4 for three hours stay and allows unlimited wine tasting. The salon also offers free wireless internet, copy and fax machines, and a printer.
