A partial evacuation of passengers at Terminal 2 at Sofia Airport has been conducted Friday morning.

The news was reported by the largest private Bulgarian TV channel bTV, citing the airport's press office.

The evacuation from Terminal 2, which serves international flights, happened at 10:15 am over the need of an additional check of a piece of luggage.

During routine check of a suitcase, security noticed an object banned for airline transportation. Passengers had to be evacuated under the airport authority regulations and rules. The second check, however, showed that there wasn't anything dangerous and the flight will leave as scheduled.

There are no reported delays of other flights as well.
