The 4-star hotel "Orpheus" in Bulgaria's winter resort Pamporovo continues to accept reservations from tourists, although it should be empty because it had been listed at a public auction.
The tender was announced on December 20 and stems from owners staggering debt to banks. It is listed for the price of EUR 11 734 980.
A week after the announcement, employees of a security company have been sent to the building to free the property. However, they found nearly 100 tourists who witnessed the violent disputes.
Despite the troubles, the hotel, which has 460 beds and is owned by the Plovdiv company "Orpheus 2002," continues to take new vacationers.
For the first 2 weeks of the year, "Orpheus" expects 430 foreigners, writes Bulgaria's "Monitor" daily.
The "fate" of those who have already arrived and those who are expected to come is not yet clear.
