Bulgaria: Sirens Today as the National Early Warning System will be Tested
A test of the National Early Warning and Disclosure System will be performed today at 11 a.m.
Bulgaria's emergency siren system will be tested at 1:00 pm on Wednesday in 10 Bulgarian cities, the Interior Ministry informs.
The cities are Sofia, Burgas, Varna, Kardzhali, Monatana, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Ruse and Smolyan.
The test is carried out according the Order for Early Warnings and Announcement of Disasters. The goal is to make a check of the technical state of the sirens and for the citizens to be aware and able to recognize their sound.
The sirens will be accompanied by information in Bulgarian.
