A 37-year-old Bulgarian woman has been arrested by the border police in Italy's port Ancona for trafficking synthetic drugs in her pants.

The woman was traveling together with a man when she got off the Greece-Italy ferry in Ancona, Italian media report.

She was subjected to a usual police check but the officers suspected irregularities with her passport so they singled her out for additional inspection.

At this point the Bulgarian woman started to behave nervously which led the police to believe that she was involved in something illegal.

When she was searched, the police found 200 grams of shaboo, a synthetic drug, in her underwear.

The "retail price" worth of the amount of drug trafficked by the woman is estimated at about EUR 100 000 (EUR 500 per 1 gram).

The Bulgarian woman, whose identity has not been revealed, has been arrested for drug trafficking.
