The burial of Libya's slain dictator Muammar Gaddafi has been postponed until after his death is examined by the International Criminal Court, according to a Libyan official.
"A third party will come from outside of Libya to go through the paperwork," Mohamed Sayeh, a senior member of the governing Transitional National Council, has clarified, as cited by Fox News.
The official has confirmed the late strongman's body is still in Misrata, adding he will be buried with respect according to Islam tradition and not publicly.
On Friday, Ali Tarhouni, the oil minister of Libya's interim government, announced that Gaddafi's funeral would be delayed for a few days "until arrangements for the location are finalised".
It was earlier reported that the ousted Libyan dictator who was killed Thursday is going to be buried at a"secret location".
