Prices in seaside restaurants across Bulgaria are rising this year, with a noticeable hike in some popular beachside dishes
Bulgaria's leading dairy producer Danone Serdika has become the first company in the country to be awarded an internationally accredited certification for food safety.
The company has been certified that it meets the requirements of FSSC 22000:2010, an International Standard developed for the certification of Food Safety Management Systems for food manufacturers.
The Bulgarian company is the first in the Danone group to be awarded the certificate and now ranks among 400 companies in the world, holding the standard.
It combines the requirements of ISO 22000:2005 (Food Safety Management Systems requirements) and PASS220:2008 (prerequisite programs on food safety for food manufacturing).
The FSSC 22000:2010 scheme is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), the benchmarking body for the harmonization of international food safety standards, along with other food safety management schemes like the BRC, IFS and SQF schemes.
Six years ago Danone became the first manufacturer of dairy products in Bulgaria with an accredited certification system for environmental management.
