Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and movie-star-turned California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger have voiced a shared opinion that the film industry is a great tool for boosting economic development.

Borisov and Schwarzenegger met Monday at the Nu Boyana Film Studios, where "The Expendables 2" is being shot.

The meeting was also attended by Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov and Bulgarian football star Hristo Stoichkov.

"I am very happy to be in Bulgaria and that we have such good relations. Avi Lerner (producer and Nu Image/Millennium Films CEO - editor's note) has been making films all his life and he has great faith in this country. This is why we are here", Schwarzenegger said, expressing his satisfaction with the working conditions offered.

Elaborating on the benefits for the economy from developing the film industry, PM Borisov stressed the government's contributions for the results achieved in the sphere over the past two years.

"Something long-forgotten has happened - film tickets get sold out, theater-goers have to wait for 2-3 months to be able to see a performance. A very good generation of Bulgarian actors is growing up, Bulgarian TV series are experiencing a revival, and your presence here helps to draw even more attention to Bulgarian cinema", Borisov stated.

Borisov explained that, by sharing their impressions of Bulgaria, celebrities like Schwarzenegger and his colleagues altered foreign stereotypes of the country and brought it new fame.

In the course of the talks, Schwarzenegger showed interest in visiting the excavation works for the construction of an underground history museum in downtown Sofia displaying the city's ancient and medieval history.

Well, its makes a refreshing change on this forum to have a xenophobic communist hater, along with the normal Turkish, Muslim, and Roma racists.

I really dont like to attack people like this but they make a lot of effort to deserve it being completely unpolite to their opponents, i might say rude most of the time... all the time

their behaviour is offending and disgraceful

and also if they have some sort of a vision of really how things nd people have to be... i dont like how they turn people to be, if this is the result of their efforts, i dont like what they are doing, where they wanna go, and the lies they use

total offtopic:

whats up guys? i havent been around fro long, i dontt remeber my previous registration, i see the forum is a little bit fct up. and not as cool as before and has a lot of bugs

i want to share my sincere disappointment of Bulgarian media - all red and BSP, and writing news exclusively about Russia, Putin and Russian models, I hope they dont ban me here (like on other places) for this observation,

sorry im not very much interested in the main Bulgarian news topic

and hope here i woudlne find BSP agent provocateurs although there would be, they would be here

:)

its pitty that the English can no longer stop them, such a shame, so you cant get rid of them, and most of all - theyr unbearable stupidity

its just all around

i hope at least this forum and news site to be spared by communist invasion and undeserved critics of the Cabinet, but i doubt

bulgarian communists are so stupid that they can make anyone leave, first the forums in Bulgaria, second comes Bulgaria too i guess and then they cry the clever leave,

"yes, they leave because of you, allways, your funny lies"

end of offtopic

lets see if ill be deleted :)

The article says: "Borisov explained that, by sharing their impressions of Bulgaria, celebrities like Schwarzenegger and his colleagues altered foreign stereotypes of the country and brought it new fame."

Rambo and the Terminator altering stereotypes of Bulgaria?

You are a funny guy, Uncle B.

But we still love you.

Hehe
