An organized crime group for the production and distribution of narcotics in Bulgaria's largest Black Sea resort Sunny Beach has been busted.

Five people – three men and two women – have been arrested in the joint operation of the police from Burgas and Sliven, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry announced Saturday.

The suspects were arrested in Burgas, Sliven, and Sunny Beach, with searches also carried out in the Sveti Vlas resort.

The police seized substances and tools for the production of synthetic drugs as well as two guns, 70 g of amphetamines and 400 g of cocaine, which is estimated to be worth BGN 50 000 in "retail prices" of BGN 100 per 1 g.

The police followed the suspects for two months before cracking down on the gang.
