Stabbing Incident at Sunny Beach: Waitress Injures Three Co-Workers
A 20-year-old woman from the village of Kalitinovo, Stara Zagora Province, has been detained by police following a stabbing incident at a restaurant in Sunny Beach.
A joint raid by several Bulgaria revenue agencies on clubs, restaurants and discos in Sunny Beach on the Black Sea uncovered BGN 0.2 M of hidden turnover for one night.
According to estimates by state officials, clubs are reporting turnover that is three times less than the actual amount.
The inspection was carried out by the National Revenue Agency, the Chief Labor Inspectorate, the Food Safety Agency and the Commission for Consumer Protection.
Labor agents also uncovered many cases of workers employed without due contract or with their salaries not correctly declared.
Consumer protection officers discovered 10 breaches of consumer rights, such as improper categorization of clubs and restaurants, as well as misleading menus.
