The cabinet of Bulgaria's ruling Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria, GERB, party would, for sure, face another no-confidence vote in July.

The information was reported Sunday by the leader of the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party, BSP, and former Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, who said the Socialists would support the no-confidence vote request of the leader of the right-wing Democrats for Strong Bulgaria, DSB, party, Ivan Kostov.

The right-wing wants a vote against Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, on the grounds of failure in the security sector.

Stanishev opened Sunday the meeting of the BSP National Council which finalized the nominations of 78 Socialists to run for mayors in the upcoming fall elections.

The former PM added that his party would also show proper attitude towards the other main opposition fraction – the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, by taking into account their no-confidence vote motives.

"We will be both initiators and supporters. We will sign under any vote that could lead to the consolidation of the opposition and the toppling of this cabinet," Stanishev declared, explaining his party is holding talks with all parliamentary groups that label themselves as opposition.
