Stability Reigns: Sofia Real Estate Market Thrives Despite Uncertain Times
The real estate sector in Sofia has shown resilience in the face of ongoing pandemic challenges, maintaining stability across all segments in the first quarter of the year
Some streets in downtown Sofia will be closed for traffic beginning Sunday – one day ahead of the visit of Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
Gul will arrive in Bulgaria on July 11 on an official two-day trip on the invitation of his Bulgarian counterpart, Georgi Parvanov.
Beginning 11 am Sunday until the departure of the Turkish delegation, stopping and parking are banned in front of the Sheraton hotel; from 1 pm until 10 pm – on the local lane of the "Tsar Osvoboditel" boulevard between "Vasil Levski" boulevard and "Krakra" street; from 7 am until 10:30 am Monday on "Oborishte" street between "G. S. Rakovski" street and "11th of August" street; from 8 am Monday on the square in front of the Boyana Church Museum; from 8 am Monday in the vicinity of the Center for Public Support on "Gyueshevo" street; from 8 am Monday until needed on "Budapest" street between "Dondukov" boulevard and hotel "Arena di Serdika."
Also on Monday, the "Oborishte" street, between "G. S. Rakovski" street and "11th of August" street, will be closed for traffic from 8:30 am until 10:30 am; "Budapest" street between "Dondukov" boulevard and hotel "Arena di Serdika" will be closed for traffic beginning 8:30 am until the end of the event; "Gyueshevo" street will be closed from 11 am until 12:30 pm with the exception of public transportation vehicles while the latter ban is subject to change on the decision of the Sofia Traffic Police.
This will be the first official visit of the Turkish head of state to the country after his election for president in 2007. The visit was initially planned for the beginning of the month but was postponed because of the parliamentary crisis and the creation of a new government.
Gul will be accompanied by a large delegation of businessmen, according to the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA).
The visit will be used to discuss opportunities for boosting bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in the sectors of construction, infrastructure, healthcare, spa tourism, organic agriculture and livestock breeding
