Prince William and his wife Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave a standing ovation to Bulgaria's tennis star Tsvetana Pironkova as she defeated Venus Williams at Wimbledon's fourth round.

Pironkova beat Venus Williams 6:2, 6:3 kicking her out of Wimbledon for a second year in a row, and advancing to the quarter finals.

Prince William and Kate Middleton watched the match between Pironkova and Willaims after they saw British tennis player Andy Murray defeat Richard Gasquet of France. After the Pironkova-Williams match, the royal couple watched the match between Raphael Nadal and Juan Martin del Potro.

Bulgaria's Pironkova beat Venus Williams in just 75 minutes.
