The Global Trade War Does Not Yet Impact Bulgarian Tourism
Despite the global escalation of the trade war, there have been no significant negative trends in Bulgaria’s tourism sector so far
Serbian authorities for the time being are not planning to announce when the recently detained Gen Ratko Mladic will be extradited to the Hague.
Mladic has been wanted by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia to face charges for war crimes, the central among which involves organizing the infamous Srebrenica massacre in 1995.
Sunday Serbian radio B-92 quoted official sources saying that they will not disclose the details of Mladic's extradition out of safety concerns.
Saturday the court took a formal decision to extradite the general to face the International Criminal Tribunal.
Mladic's arrest has provoked outrage not only in his own Republika Srpska, but also among nationalist circles in Serbia proper, where protests are scheduled Sunday.
Meanwhile, preparations for the trial are going at a full pace at the Hague. The judges appointed for Mladic's trial are Christoph Fluegge from Germany, assisted by Alphons Orie (Netherlands) and Bakone Makoto (RSA).
Justice Fluegge has been branded as "controversial" by some, for having entertained a non-conventional position about what happened in Srebrenica, arguing it cannot be properly described as a genocide.
