Panama Rejects US Claims of Free Canal Passages for Government Vessels
Panama has denied claims made by the US State Department that American government vessels can now transit the Panama Canal without paying fees
The Bulgarian Ambassador to the US, Elena Poptodorova and the US Ambassador to Bulgaria, James Warlick, are beginning over the weekend a diplomatic tour across the US.
The news was reported Thursday by EuroChigago.com, the largest web media portal in Bulgarian in America.
The tour starts Sunday, May 15, when the two are scheduled to arrive in Chicago, Illinois, and ends on May 20. The diplomats are going to visit three other cities – Huston, Texas, Phoenix, Arizona and San Francisco, California.
The program in Chicago for May 16th begins with individual meetings with the business, to be followed by a round table with representatives of the industry sector and an official lunch with the Chicago Trade Association. The program ends with a visit of the St. Sofia Church and a meeting with the Bulgarian community.
Poptodorova and Warlick will meet with Bulgarians in all cities they are to visit.
