50 Years Ago: China Launches Bulgarian Language Radio Broadcasts
In a testament to enduring friendship, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China
The Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria has announced a prize winning article competition to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Bulgaria.
"We sincerely invite you to share your experiences related to China, such as your traveling story, the process of learning the language, feelings associating with Chinese people, thoughts after viewing a Chinese movie or literature, to name but a few. You may send us your work by the end of 15th August, 2011 either through E-mail, fax or post. We will review and evaluate among all the work received within one month's time and the result will be published on our website in due time," the Chinese Embassy said in its call for article submissions.
The requirements set no limits on the title, genre, and length of the article, and it can be submitted either in Chinese, Bulgarian or English. The title and topic of the articles that are submitted for the competition must be "My Story with China."
The winner will be rewarded with two round-trip tickets between Sofia and Beijing.
The Chinese Embassy in Sofia said it is sponsoring the article competition aiming at strengthening the traditional friendship among Chinese and Bulgarian people and promoting practical cooperation in all areas between the two countries.
Two years ago Bulgaria and China celebrated the 60th anniversary since establishing diplomatic relations, which was an especially solemn occasion as Bulgaria is the second sovereign nation in the world to have recognized the People's Republic of China upon its founding in 1949.
