The US Embassy in Pakistan's capital Islamabad was closed for the public on Tuesday in a move to secure safety in the aftermath of Osama bin Laden's death.
The Embassy will issue an updated Warden Message when the Embassy and Consulates General reopen for routine business, the Embassy said in a statement Tuesday.
The country's consulates in Lahore, Karachi and Peshawar have also been closed, authorities have revealed. The institutions will continue working, but behind closed doors, "except for emergency American Citizens Services."
