The administrator of the Facebook support group for the former Deputy Chair of the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms, DPS, Kasim Dal, is behind bars.
Metin Mehmedov, administrator of the "I Support Kasim Dal" group was arrested Thursday in Sofia, according to his own announcement posted on the social network.
"I am currently being held at the 8th police precinct in Sofia on the request of their colleagues, and the police head in the town of Vetovo, Alexander Laskov. I will be under arrest for 24 hours and will then be transferred to Vetovo," has been Mehmedov's last Facebook post.
The post generated over 130 comments from the group's members, some looking for information in Sofia and others appealing to followers to march to the capital.
The police told the Bulgarian daily Dnevnik that the Vetovo (near the Danube city of Ruse) police issued a search warrant for the man over charges he had been stealing from a local store. The Sofia police located him and arrested him and will sent him to Vetovo by the end of the day.
