Hollywood Star Nina Dobrev Denies Dating Colleagues
Bulgarian-Canadian actress Nina Dobrev, who gained international popularity for her role in the TV series "The Vampire Diaries", will be on the cover of the US magazine Teen Vogue's April 2011 Issue.
In the interview, the 22-year-old actress talks about playing two roles in "The Vampire Diaries" - Elena and Katherine.
"When I signed on to the show, I didn't know whether I'd be playing both girls. And while it's been cool, it's also exhausting because it's double the work. You invest so much of your heart and soul and energy into making even one character. It's like doing two movies at once," she said.
Nina also denies all rumors about her dating her colleagues Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.
"We expected the rumors. Like, if I wasn't dating Ian, I'd be dating Paul. A lot of people who work together end up dating, so it wouldn't be unusual, but I've never dated anyone I've worked with," she said.
The actress confesses that she would like to do roles that are not related to horror, sci-fi or high-school, as she is offered. She also unveils the curtain behind her own high school experience.
"I wanted to be the jock, and I wanted to be a dancer and actress. I was also a gymnast and very academically driven. I always had a lot on my plate and was really overwhelmed. Not much has changed—I'm constantly trying to one-up myself and raising the stakes," she said.
Born in Bulgaria, Nina Dobrev moved to Canada at the age of 2 and grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California, and in Atlanta, Georgia, where "The Vampire Diaries" is filmed.
