German skier Felix Neureuther, who finished second in the Super G race within the ski World Cup held in Bansko, Bulgaria, praised the resort and his experience there.

"To tell you frankly, since the quarterfinal of the football World Cup in 1994 when Bulgaria eliminated Germany, I've not been a big fan of Bulgaria. But now I like your country again," said Neurether at a press-conference after the contest.

He described Bansko as a "wonderful ski resort" and said that the tracks were fine and considerably difficult.

The German skier was extremely satisfied with his performance, which is his first medal in the super slalom. Moreover, he came out second only 0.01 behind Italian Thomas Innerhofer.

Neureuther also confessed that he was under much stress in the recent championship in his birthplace of Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany, but Saturday in Bansko felt relaxed and skied for fun, which might have contributed to his outstanding performance.
