In Bulgaria: Three Men Detained for Hooliganism and Threatening Police with Machete and Shovel
Three men from Radomir have been arrested and charged with hooliganism after a violent altercation
Bulgarians traveling to the monument of national hero and revolutionary, Vasil Levski, in the Serbian town of Bosilegrad can cross the border, but are banned from holding a meeting on Serbian territory.
The news was announced by the spokesperson of the Bulgarian Border Police, Lora Lyubenova.
The border has been reopened after talks between Bulgarian and Serbian border authorities, requested by the Bulgarian side.
Bulgarian citizens are currently passing through the "Oltomantsi" checkpoint.
Earlier Friday, people who wanted to visit the monument and lay flowers were banned from crossing the border without any explanation. Bulgarian media reported increased police presence at the checkpoint with about 50 armed Serbian police.
