First Group of Bulgarian Citizens Safely Evacuated from Israel to Egypt
A group of Bulgarian citizens has been evacuated from Israel via a land route to Egypt
Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry has issued a warning against traveling to Yemen as the Arab peninsula country is seeing civil unrest.
Yemen has been gripped by what has been described as one of the "revolutions" in several Arab states facilitated through online social network activism – including Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Syria.
Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry advises against any trips to Yemen, and recommends that if a trip to the country is absolutely necessary, the travelers should avoid mass demonstrations and rallies in the capital Sana and in Aden, and should abstain from traveling in remote provinces.
The warning was also posted by Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov on his Facebook and Twitter pages.
On Thursday, February 3, more than 20 000 Yemeni citizens marched the streets of the capital Sanaa, marking a "day of rage", scheduled against the country's veteran President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Earlier this week the president announced that he will not seek reelection in 2013.
