German heavy metal legends Helloween shook Bulgarian capital Sofia on two consecutive nights Sunday and Monday, fueling fans with their energetic performance.

Helloween are currently on tour promoting their latest album, "7 Sinners", out in October 2009, which showcases a harder sound but keeps the melodic elements that the German rockers are famed for.

The Sunday date at Hristo Botev Hall in Sofia was sold out well ahead, so promoters went on to schedule a second back-to-back night.

On both nights, Helloween opened with their latest single "Are You Metal?" and went through a setlist including classic songs such as "Eagle Fly Free", "March of Time", "Ride the Sky", "Future World" and "Dr. Stein" - and a medley of their three "Keeper" epics.

A special treat at the concerts was an acoustic rendering of the ballad "Forever and One (Neverland)" performed by singer Andi Deris and guitarist Sascha Gerstner.

The "7 Sinners" album was represented with the songs "Where the Sinners Go" and "World of Fantasy," which for the second night was exchanged for "You Stupid Mankind."

Helloween were supported by Finnish power metal heros Stratovarius and Swedish newcomers Avatar.
