Thousands of passengers have been stranded at airports across Western Europe on Christmas because of snow and ice disrupting air travel.
Saturday morning Western Europe saw the third wave of major traffic disruption caused by winter weather in the recent days, just as Bulgaria is enjoying an unusually warm and sunny Christmas.
Paris's Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport was especially badly hit, with some 400 flights canceled on Friday, affecting about 30 000 passengers.
The northern parts of France have seen heavy snowfall disrupting road traffic as well.
The inclement weather caused similar problems in Germany, the UK and Belgium, affected air, railway and road traffic.
