Winter Tourism: 1.8 Million Visit Bulgaria
Bulgaria has witnessed a bustling winter tourism season, with a total of 1.8 million tourists gracing its picturesque landscapes from December 1 to March 25
Bulgaria offers a good platform for Lebanese companies, which want to enter EU's market, according to the Balkan country's Economy Minister Traicho Traikov.
Traikov opened a bilateral business forum for companies from the two countries in Lebanon, where a high-level Bulgarian delegation, headed by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, is currently on a visit.
Bulgaria has certain advantages as an investment destination, including the low corporate taxes and the opportunity of EU structural funds supporting the business, Traikov pointed out.
" Bulgaria's touristic sector is well developed and attractive for Lebanese tourists," according to Gaby Tamer, Vice president of Beirut and Mount Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.
He pointed out that some 5000 Lebanese tourists have visited Bulgaria in 2009, while 900 Bulgarians have been to Lebanon during the same period.
Meanwhile. the Bulgarian Prime Minister has already met with Lebanon's President Michel Suleiman, the Chair of the National Assembly Nabih Berri, and members of the Bulgarian community in Beirut.
