Bulgaria's Minister of Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov came back Saturday from a one-week working trip to the US, which he characterized as his 'most successful ever.'
Tsvetanov stated that US authorities have given a clear signal of their recognition and support for the Bulgarian cabinet and its effords.
"A lot of things that we must do next year were commented," said the Interior Minister. Among those things was the creation of a center for combating cybercrime, as well as ongoing training of Bulgarian security personnel.
"The strategic location of Bulgaria is a special interest to the USA," saying that Bulgaria might be a small country, but is a reliable partner.
Minister Tsvetanov commented that the visa regime for Bulgarian citizens in the USA should be waved when Bulgaria accedes to the Schengen Area, but also given that less than 10% of visa applications are rejected.
