The newly-built south loop of the beltway of Bulgaria's capital Sofia remains closed after it was flooded by torrential rains over the weekend.
The road is open only for public transportation vehicles, the City Hall informs Monday.
Repairs are ongoing with the use of special equipment to remove the rocks and the debris from the landslides.
Meanwhile the capital is experiencing heavy traffic and huge jams in many locations over the road closure.
Both major thoroughfares and small neighborhood streets are congested. Ground public transportation is delayed by 7-8 to 12 minutes in the heaviest traffic.
