Bulgaria: Slow Bulgarian Customs Cause Turkish Border Jam A 10-km line of trucks has formed again at Capitan Andreevo on the Turkish-Bulgarian border Tuesday, blamed once more on the slow work of the Bulgarian Customs. Photo by BGNES

A 10-kilometers-long truck line has formed Tuesday at the Capitan Andreevo-Kapakule cross border point between Bulgaria and Turkey.

About 400 trucks are reportedly waiting to return to Turkey.

According to the Head of the Turkish Customs at Kapakule, there was no line in the Turkish side of the cross border point and the problem was again the result of the sluggish work of the Bulgarian Customs at Capitan Andreevo.

Huge lines at the border have also been reported several times in October due to the installing on the Bulgarian side of a new system for control of cargo vehicles over Schengen requirements.
