Millions of Devout Muslims Gather in Mecca for Hajj
Over 2.5 Muslims from accross the world have flocked this Sunday to the holy city of Mecca to perform the holy duty of Hajj.
The Hajj, which lasts five days, commemorates the road of prophet Muhammad to the holy city, now located in Saudi Arabia, and involves a number of rituals, including retracing Muhammad's steps.
It is considered the fifth pillar of Islam and is a duty to every Muslim who is physically and financially capable of performing it.
Security in and around Mecca is extremely tightened given the massive gathering of people.
