Bulgaria's high-school astronomy team has won gold and bronze at the International Olympiad in the city of Sudaq in the Ukraine.

The competition, 15th of the kind, was held October 16th to the 23rd.

Konstantin Gundev, from the Mathematics High School in the second largest city of Plovdiv is returning home with the gold, while Kalin Krastev, from the National High School for Mathematics and Natural Sciences in Sofia, got the bronze.

The good news was reported Monday by the team's leader, Aleksei Stoev, Director of the Observatory and Planetarium in the city of Stara Zagora.

Students from 20 countries from Europe, Asia and the Americas took part in the competition.
