Two brothers, 38 and 40, with Bulgarian passports have been arrested last week in the French city of Lyon on pimping charges.

The French daily "Le Progres" reports the men were dealing with the human trafficking of prostitutes from Eastern Europe in the Lyon district of Perrache. According to the publication, the prostitution ring already collected EUR 2 M in revenues. The amount is estimated based on documents for money transfers seized by the police.

About two thirds of all money had been wired to Bulgaria, while the rest has been in cash and did not leave traces.

The probe continues. France has asked the Bulgarian Interior for assistance.
