Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency will continue mapping luxury real estate properties across the country from the skies via helicopter raids over next week.

This was announced by the Revenue Agency's head Krasimir Stefanov to Darik Radio just days after the tax authorities launched the spectacular operation together with helicopter Air Detachment 28.

Friday the Agency announced it had photographed from the air luxury estates in the suburbs around capital Sofia.

Now it became clear that the tax official's efforts will continue mapping expensive properties across the whole country in a bid to curb tax evasion and asset undervaluation.

When the mapped estates have been identified, their owners will be checked in the Revenue Agency's records.

"The campaign is expected to bring some BGN 10 M to state coffers," vowed tax director Stefanov.

He further expressed sincere amazment at what he saw around Sofia, saying that it "exceeded expectations."
