Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, declared he assumes full responsibility for an eventual failure of Bulgaria's latest health minister-to-be, Stefan Konstantinov.

The Minister spoke Friday in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio, BNR, saying the responsibility belongs to the entire cabinet and has been fully accepted by himself and Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov.

Regarding numerous accusations that the collapse of the health care sector is his fault, Djankov stated in times of crisis it is customary to put all blame on the Finance Minister, reiterating Bulgaria is fiscally stable, registers economic growth now, and vowed money for everyone once the crisis is over.

The Minister also assured the health care reform will be implemented by the end of his cabinet's term and he would fully support the new health minister's strategy even if it involves closing hospitals.

Djankov accused the now dismissed health ministers, Bozhidar Nanev and Anna-Maria Borisova of not using health care funds effectively, saying this was the prime reason for their ousting.

"The new strategy will be revealed next Wednesday, after the Parliament approves the nomination, There is no line of people wishing to assume the post, because the problems are huge. I applaud Stefan Konstantinov for his courage," financier number one said.

Earlier Friday, Borisov announced that an additional BGN 65 M have been transferred to the health care budget.

Also on Friday, Djankov submitted in the Parliament the 2011 budget, which keeps both taxes and wages at current levels.
