The two major opposition formations in Bulgaria - the Socialist Party (BSP) and the ethnic Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), have announced they will submit their no-confidence vote.

The no-confidence vote will be submitted on October 1 and will be based on the cabinet's failure in the health case sector.

Even though Bulgaria's Health Minister, Anna-Maria Borisova, resigned unexpectedly on Wednesday amidst heated public debates on the fate of controversial measures for health care reforms in the country, the opposition did not cancel the idea to submit a no-confidence vote.

On Tuesday, when the news was announced, BSP leader and former Prime Minister, Sergey Stanishev, reiterated several times that the vote was not only against Borisova, but the entire cabinet and mostly against PM Boyko Borisov, over their responsibility for the full collapse of the system.

"The common opinion was that a no-confidence vote must focus on the biggest problem and failure and we joined around the idea this is the situation in the health care sector," Stanishev said on Tuesday.

In the meantime, Borisov nominated Stefan Konstantinov for new health minister to replace Borisova.
