The Shumen District Court mandated Friday that Yanko Popov aka Tutsi, charged with organizing various murders, be kept under arrest during proceedings against him.

Yanko Popov was previously arrested under the special police operation codenamed “The Killers,” in connection with the murder of controversial Samokov businessman Yuri Galev.

Tutsi was recently arrested a gain in a sequel to “The Killers”, together with two other persons Vasil Kostov aka Vasko Ketsa, and Raycho Stanev, for plotting another murder – that of the businessman from the Bulgarian city of Shumen, Rumen Rachev.

Yanko Popov vowed to appeal the court decision at the Varna Appellate Court.
