The whole length of Lot 3, connecting the Bulgarian town of Nova Zagora and the city of Yambol, is 34,3 km. It will include two lanes in each direction.
The executing company is the Greek “Aktor”, which has proposed BGN 133 973 907 for the construction. "Aktor" has also stated that they will not use subcontractors and will hire 1000 new workers for the highway project, of whom up to 90% will be Bulgarians.
The Trakiya Highways is executed under the operational program “Transport” 2007-2013.
Plevneliev has stated that the construction of Lot 4 of the Trakiya Highway will begin in September.
“In the following year, the ministry will continue the construction of the Trakiya and Maritza Highways. We expect Lyulin Highway to be fully finished in the middle of 2011,” Minister Rosen Plevneliev has stated.
