Bulgaria: Man Arrested over Sofia Shooting

A 60-year old man was arrested early Monday morning after the shooting incident in a Roma-populated quarter of the Bulgarian capital Sofia.

In the wee hours Monday a fight erupted in the Zaharna Fabrika neighborhood, with shooting breaking out. Police sent to the place found three persons wounded on the ground.

The three were sent off to the emergency ward, where it was discovered that their wounds are not serious.

The wounded persons, in their 20s, have a criminal record of robbery. According to initial information the incident was caused by ongoing personal conflicts.
