The Netherlands and Spain failed to score any goals in the first half of the 2010 World Cup final.

After an initial push by the Spanish, the Dutch managed to hold their ground and most of the first half time the game was rather even.

The English referee had to give five yellow cards in the first half - two for Spain and three for the Netherlands.
