After inspecting the AC/DC and Lord of the Dance concerts, Bulgarian tax agents will keep the tradition and work at the festivals “Sofia Rocks”and “ParkLive”.

“We perform checks at the big music concerts in order to preliminary determine the amount of taxes and insurances the organizers owe. The tax inspectors that were working at the AC/DC and Lord of the Dance concerts established more than BGN 90 000 of declared taxes,” Svetlana Paunova from the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency (NAP) said.

NAP inspectors and police officers will be positioned at the entrances of Terminal 2 of the Sofia Airport and the “Vassil Levski” stadium where the festivals will take place and will check the number of people, the validation of the tickets, and the proper revenue declaration.

They will also check the permits of the people who sell food, drinks and souvenirs at the stadium.

“Sonisphere” is the biggest thrash metal music festival in Bulgaria. It will take place on June 22-23 and will present Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica on its first festival day, and Stone Sour, Manowar, Rammstein, and Alice in Chains on the next.

This year “ParkLive”, the festival for alternative and electronic music, will take place at the park of the Sofia airport on June 18-20. Groove Armada, Gotan Project, and Morcheeba will be part of the live acts at the festival.

NAP is determined to perform checks at the concerts of all international musicians who come to Bulgaria.
